If you get the opportunity to reside in Japan, it is advised to be cautious about littering and maintaining cleanliness. Essentially, cleanliness is ingrained in Japanese culture and has multiple reasons to support it. The main reason being the influence of education from Japanese people’s upbringing on the nation’s spirit. For instance, Japanese elementary school students are taught to clean their classrooms as part of their school policy. During their school life, except for in colleges, students have to clean the classroom every day. This video shows school students removing dust and trash from their classroom. When I was a student, I didn’t realise this was a little strange. But now, I don’t understand why students have to clean the classroom. I hope you can gain insight into Japanese culture through this video.
